If the likes of Kourtney K, one of the famous beholders of the Kardashian curves, have some of the 'worst beach bodies' then what are the rest of us? Walruses?

It's not just the curvy ladies like Coco-T (apparently her "butt ate her bathing suit" - obvs the author hasn't heard of twerking and the equipment needed) who were getting the typically Hollywood 'if you're not a Size 2, you're eating too much' treatment. Lindsay Lohan, the media's favourite chew toy, was scrutinised as looking pregnant in 2010 (and like a skeleton not long later, in the global media) and Tara Reid had that flatter than a pancake stomach mocked, twice. REALLY?
Yep, if those two photos above (of Vida Guerra and Tara Reid, respectively) repulse you then I suggest you head on over to the hollywoodscoop.com recruitment office and sign yourself up so you too can write pathetic, jealousy riddled articles.
In the words of Bridget Jones, I'd rather have a job wiping Saddam Hussein's arse - maybe I need to update my quotes? - than working within an inch of whoever the hell wrote this utter shit (I would try and word post more eloquently but there is really no point in sugarcoating it).
Any thoughts?
Ugh yes thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand this kind of absolute shit.
Not only is this trashing celebrities who already receive so much pressure to be a certain way and so much criticism no matter how they act, it's also continuing the message to all women that we will never be good enough, our bodies must look airbrushed, etc. Things like this continue to set up ridiculous standards of beauty which make women hate themselves.
It's absolutely disgusting.
Thank you for using your blog to call out this bullshit.

I can't even remember how I found it either, it just made me so mad! It is not even the generic magazine articles about them losing/gaining weight (because in all fairness, I can imagine how some people like to follow celeb weights, to keep them motivated or even just to relate to the fact they fluctuate and like cake too!). PLUS however wrote this is actually making jokes like "was Lindsey pregnant in 2010?" - yes, because god forbid she actually eats her lunch and doesn't suck it her tummy 24/7 and look like you would do on a red carpet.
DeleteFigure if people are going to needs my ramblings, I might as well make them useful!

Ugh, I so much respect for you writing this post. The kind of shit the media likes to publicise in order to put human beings with insecurities just like us in the negative lime light is absolutely unacceptable. These kinds of people have no morals at all, I honestly wish the best for them. They'll have trouble going through life with that kind of attitude towards other people. To think teenagers that actually read this bullshit also begin to take it in and believe that if they don't have perfect, slim bodies in order to be successful and accepted makes me sick.

I just think that it's so pathetic someone somewhere is so bitter and disrespectful and I assume jealous (primarily because their job is to seemingly stalk and shame celebs?!) that they stooped so low as to write something like this! It's so painful that they are trying to be witty too and completely fail. I agree, I am totally body confident so I just sat there are mocked/shamed the 'journalist' but there are so many young girls who will think that not even these amazing bodies they previously looked up to and admired aren't even good enough! Thank you for agreeing with me, needs more publicity!
DeleteFollowed your blog too, I really like it :) xx
